Staying in Ouray, CO. is much cheaper than Telluride where the movie stars are. I've done Engineer's Pass several times. The trick is to never look down. Your bike will go wherever you look. We go much faster than these guys. One year, we rode with a kid that kept showing off. He sent his 4 wheeler off the road above treeline. He bailed off in time. It must have rolled about 1200'.
This is someone else's video, but the same trail. The batholiths (larger igneous rock intrusions) in the first half are a bitch, especially when they're wet.
