Looking for advice, keep or sell my A-855.

Hi,

Looking for some opinions on what to do about my transmission in my 69 charger.
I have a passion performance A-855 5-speed transmission that i received sometime around 2017. It has been bolted up but never used. I am thinking about going a different direction with the transmission. I have a 900HP genII hemi and with these transmissions being out of production I am concerned about possibly breaking it and being stuck with a paper weight. Does anyone know if there is a market for these now that they are no longer available?

Thinking of going to a tremic TKX.

A TKX won't hold up either. They call it a TKX because they are slightly more shapely than the TKO 600 they replaced. The internals aren't much different.
The Tremec 6060 6 speed may be more durable.
Now, about the A 855....Maybe you'd find a buyer for it and get a good price.

you are correct however, the TKX can be upgraded to hold more power, plus if i break it I can get it fixed or get another. I feel like i'd be sh!t out of luck with the A-855 if something happened to it.

The 6060 is the better transmission, but the modifications needed to make it fit....... i dont want to cut up the car to that degree.
