Hi all, I live in the seattle area and looking for a recommendation for someone to recover my seats 1966 plymouth satellite with buckets and rear seat. Just got my new covers and foams.

google maps, if no one in your area knows of anyone...

I would do it my self, the tool and clips will cost you about $20 and it takes 2 hours...

Pull your old covers off by cutting all the hog rings, clean, paint, and transfer any wires from the old covers to the new. Clean and paint your frames, springs, and tracks. Install the foam, covers, mesh, etc.. Mark the foam 1/2 way in both directions, on a spot that makes sense, left to right and front to back, mark the seat cover in the same orientation and put your first clip in the center of the inner most place to start, and start clipping, pull the covers over, clip, and clip and clip some more..

There are a ton of videos on line, I do all my own covers, its very easy once you start and upholsters are getting 500-1000 to do a set of buckets and a rear bench...

I agree with Seventy. If you can make a bed, you can cover seats. Just watch some of the videos on YouTube and go at it. It's pretty much idiot proof as you're not really doing anything to the cover itself, just the mounting areas, so if you put a ring in the wrong place no one will know it but you. You cut it out and put a new one in the right place.

]I agree, definitely give it a shot. Just remember to check your work as you go to ensure that everything is centered correctly so that the pattern on the bottom and back line up. I watched the videos from Legendary Auto Interiors and went at it.

I'll do it for you, just come on down!

You guys are great, I have never done seats but you have inspired me. I am a youtube fan for many fix-its and will spend some time getting my confidence up. Thank you!

It's easy I never did a set and at age 16 i got my first car and ordered the upholstery(thinking it was the who seat) well to my surprise I didn't get the who seat (thought it was kinda cheap) and tryed the upholstery thing (without help or you tube) and I did extremely good I had people asking where I got it done at ,then I had people lining up to do there's . I only send the upper door panels out in my chargers (as I hate the fo wood) it's super easy just take your time . If I can do it anyone can do it .take pictures of the before and after for us .good luck
