Just purchased a former race or pro street car. Starting to restore it. Looking for interior parts as well as other parts. I do not believe it can be brought back to original. I have looked around the for sale section, not seeing what I want. Car is 66 charger. I have pictures in the photo gallery of the car.
Thanks

find a doner car if ya can...interior pieces are made of "unobtainium"

yeah.. bout the only thing you can get is the seat covers/buns (front only), the dash bezel, and the carpets and the armrests IIRC

Everything else.... good luck

Thanks

do you know of an interior that would fit in a charger, does not have to be from charger, maybe something that is easier to find.

nope...it's Charger only...and year specific...

Dash frame, dash pad, rear seats, rear cargo area & panels are all Charger only. Top of console plates are flat brushed aluminum plates, again, 66 & 67 Charger only.

Complete front to rear console is Charger specific, in 66 only...the 67 front console is basically the same as later years. The rear seats are Charger only, stitching pattern is year specific....door panels are Charger only, front & rear.

If all or most of this stuff is missing, find a parts car and buy it...you will not find all these pieces one at a time

You can find several of your parts at Classic Industries (classicindustries.com). Legendary Interiors has your seats but does not have door panels. I bought my taillights from these guys http://www.beaparts.com/ I've also used http://www.rtspecialties.net/, http://www.mrmoparts.net/. Have a chat with Vanessa at http://www.wildcatmopars.com/, it's a salvage yard specializing in mopars. Other than that i recommend you pick up some mopar magazines for other parts sources. I'm just about at the end of my restoration so I know what you're about to go through. Hope this helps.

If he isn't worried about going back to factory original he could replace dash parts with Coronet parts. The dash frame will fit as well as the rest. The rest I am afraid will be charger only.

yea..he can do that, but he will not be able to use the Charger instrument cluster, the frames from Coronet to Charger are different. The Charger instruments will not fit in a Coronet dash frame

Thanks for all the input, i need only seats weather striping, front hood lip metal, trunk lip metal, also 2 headliner moldings few chrome pieces down the sides of the car, and the charger medallion for the hood, i have a medallion from another year, but is not curved that i would be willing to give up. Also some little things like back window cranks.

Glad i found this site, you all are very helpful.
pictures of the car are on the gallery under 66 charger 440.

the hoods do not have a medallion, only the front grille & trunk lid

I might have the chrome down the sides of car, need to know exactly which ones you need. I also have rear window cranks. Trunk lip metal trim is reproduced

Seat frames should interchange with any 66/67 B body.

seat frames will bolt in, but technically, they are not the same from 66 to 67....the 66 tracks had adjustable bolts under the frames for adjustment to fit various drivers....the 67 frames were solid, no adjustment...

but again, any will bolt to floor...

I have a lead on two fairly "complete" 66 chargers. They are in SC. Don't have a firm price, but will check. What do you need?

Interesting.

Learned something again!

Glad I have the 66 tracks, as I need all the headroom I can get.

But that's just the tracks, right? The frames should be the same.

I have some interior parts. Not sure, either a left or rt side chrome headliner molding, both interior fiberglass panels that go from the wheel house to the headliner & up to the glass. The trunk lid molding ( not the emblem). A metal dash.
PM if interested in any of the items.
