Hi, guys. Newbie here, just posted in the Welcome Wagon forum, but thought I'd cover my bases in this forum. I own a '69 Road Runner and am in the process of turning her into a pretty modified, high-performance machine (she's not numbers-matching or with rare options, so I'm not destroying a museum piece).

I'm looking for a reputable Mopar engine-builder who can build me a kickass 440. Shooting for 550HP with plenty of torque. Don't want to go the supercharger/turbo/blower route, just want raw gas-pump power.

Also, like many of us, I was burned by an earlier shop and am still stinging a bit from that experience. I'm looking for a professional, honest shop with solid references who backs up their work and really enjoys working on Mopars.

I've been dying to finish this project ever since I bought the car off my bro a few years ago. Got the OK from the wife, so here we go!

thanks, everybody.

I feel your pain for a good mopar builder on the west coast...Most good builders are in the east it seems...

SoCal mopar engine builder

I found a great guy in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. that specializes in Mopar. He and his son build Mopar engines and own and race couple of their own. When I have enough money I'm planning on taking in my 440 to be built. The shop is "Submission Engines" Talk to Carlos Phone #(909)9442634...(909)824-5103. He did my disc brakes and suspension, did a great job and does all types of work on Mopar. Nice guy and incredibly Mopar smart.

Good luck-
