Just as the title says looking for a project car. I'm in sw MO, with a $5k budget. I know it's not a ton, but gotta start somewhere.

Must have a title
Must be 2 door
prefer 4 speed
prefer 68-70 nothing newer than 70
prefer minimal rust (don't we all) but I know it will have rust.

Let me know what you have, thanks for looking.

I don't believe you will find anything worthwhile in B bodies for $5k. You should be able to find a nice, two-door C body for your budget. If you are really hankering for a 4-speed project car, then there is this Formula S with an asking price of $6,500:

NOT MINE

https://richmond.craigslist.org/cto/d/1965-barracuda-formula/6443118752.html

"I am selling my 1965 formula S Barracuda. It has the original 273 high performance engine with the original 4 speed transmission. I currently have an aftermarket pistol grip shifter but comes with the stock shifter handle. The interior is new but not stock. It has a lot of rust in the quarters but comes with replacements. Has all new brakes with dual reservoir power brake master cylinder but front left wheel grabs. Needs a new throughout bearing. Comes with a parts car. Has new tires on restored 14" mopar wheels. Only going to list this car for a short time. Jay."

Good luck to you in your search.

2 dr 4spd B body with minimal rust for 5k is gonna be a tough horse to find...

Might have to up the budget or open up your options more.

I know it's a long shot, but have to see what's out there. If nothing pops up I'll expand my search thanks for advice.

may the force be with you on that one.

How about a 63' Plymouth Sport Fury. Original black with black/copper int. 383 4sp.

I've got this 68 coronet 2dr hard top that was a 383 4spd car I'd let go for $5,500. Has clear title, it's in phoenix az. Has rust from corner of back window into rear pass quarter and trunk floor. Dr side is minimal and Main floor pans are nice. Will be a rolling shell, with some glass, doors, some of the dash, I'm negotiable on leaving more parts on it but the price would have to come up. No motor or trans, but will have rear end and front suspension so rolls and steers and I'll leave the pedals in it. Own a transport biz so can line up reasonable transport. Let me know if interested.

Yes I have lots of pics, can't load very many on here, if you pm me I can give you my # or email and will be easier/faster thanks.

If it's Ozark Mo figure around $1000. Best way to ballpark the transport is .75 cpm from point A to B. Add $100 for inop.

Save yourself a lot of money and labor in the long run, and drive right now. Fresh, just finishing up--a blast to drive , and a show winner. Use your $5000 as a down payment on a loan, and buy my car( avatar) $24,000.....................MO.......

Major project 66 Belvedere 2dr post......1500 with lots of parts in the Houston area.

Barrett Jackson is going on so a rustbucket is going to cost you $8+ because one like it sold for $100k lol

They are out there but for $5k in the b body 68-70 and 4 speed you are going to have rust repair.

You're correct I had the $4800 ad up and now it too has been deleted.
