I needed the C shaped rear sway bar frame bracket for my 73 charger due to one of them being rust dust, I measured it and all holes in millimeters and formed my own from 12 gage brushed stainless. I then heated the bracket and rounded the square shoulder of a carriage head 1inch 5/16 stainless bolt to just over the size of the puched out 5/16 hole. I froze the bolt and slipped it into the heated bracket. When it cooled the bolt was solid enough to tighten a nut on without turning itself. This replicated the orignal bracket.

I have made a couple more sets if anyone is interested.

Pics?

never posted a pic before. So I do not really know how to. I looked into it earlier and my son who is 14 said to use facebook. Well I do not have a facebook Account and will never have one. Facebook is useless to me. I know there are other ways to to this And I will find one. I would love to post pics. If you know of a way to post them without jumping through hoops please let me know.

Click "go advanced", scroll down, and click the "add photos" button.

Then browse for the pic you want to upload.

MUCH easier than trying to link to a facebook page.

Nice.

Thanks.

congrats...LOL.. & the sway bar mount looks good too

Thanks. Never had a need to post pics before. I am also fabricating sheet metal plugs to take the place of those ugly side marker lights. They will fill the marker light opening and be bolted on from the back thanks to the use of a stud gun. The front side will be painted body color and be flush with the body only showing the outline of where the marker light use to be. This will allow the marker lights to be returned someday if desired. I will also post a pic of those when finished this week.

I would like to see what you did on the link to sway bar plate. Is that also something custom?

Yes. I have been tinkering with that. I will not know final fit until I get it mounted But I will post a pic. of what I got so far. I have to get new U-bolts for the rear to be able to mount the bar.

This is what I have so far. I will probably shorten it for ground clearance. The poly bushings & sway bar links are off the shelf from autozone because the originals were junk.

Not bad man, they look shorter than the ones I am using from Firm Feel.

Thanks to all that replied. I have read many post so its time I start posting a few as well. My first car I drove on the street was a 72 charger so I am familiar with the 3rd gens.
