The story is the original owners daughter had a green '68 Charger. I have the shirt of her driving it.

Current owners father was a muscle car enthusiast, and a drag racer. In-n-out have sponsored many race cars, and their name is currently on Pomona dragstrip (winternationals and world finals)
Lynsi"s grandfather and grandmother founded the company, and occasionally both worked the concession stand at the original irwindale raceway.... cause it was basically an in-n-out, except for no tomato on the burger.
