I think the conspiracy theorists who think the MH-17 flight shot down was the missing MH-370 flight are scoring some points.

Malasia Airlines aircraft are identified by a five digit identifier, 9M-MRX, with the X being the sequential letter assigned as the aircraft was delivered. MH-17 was 9M-MRD and the missing MH-370 aircraft was 9M-MRO. In the picture of the airliner that was supposedly taken by a Dutch tourist and pasted on Facebook, the aircraft is 9M-MRC. So at the very least, the supposed Facebook posting is a fake.

They're also trying to show MH-17 was actually the MH-370 aircraft based on pictures of the plane and pictures of the wreckage, and there are differences but commercial aircraft are so heavily photographed by aviation enthusiasts that you have to look very carefully at dates.

At the center of the dispute is the Malasia Airlines 777s come with a window just ahead of the starboard exit in front of the wing, but when the aircraft goes through overhaul that window is covered/painted over for some reason. So they're looking at pics of 9M-MRD and seeing a window and pics of 9M-MRO that doesn't have the window, and the 9M-MRD wreckage photos show the window painted over. This looks compelling, but without knowing if MRD went through an overhaul or not means those pics they're looking at could be before the overhaul was done.

The bodies from MH370 would be a decayed/rotted away or just gone, from March IIRC...
maybe they were planted, also shot down & mixed the 2 wreckages...

lets all get out tin foil conspiracy hat on now....
 
You have to admit all these reports about over-ripe bodies being found in the wreckage are unusual to say the least. I mean, who would think to make up such a preposterous story? Of all the lies you could cook up to justify this shoot down... the bodies were wearing uniforms, military equipment/arms were found in the wreckage, unexploded explosives were found, etc., why cook up something as over-the-top as long-dead bodies?

I guess the fact that not one piece of flotsam or jetsam from that bird has ever been found proves it didn't go down at sea.

Yeah, you betcha, as they say in Minnesota. I'm using Reynolds double thick foil on every crevice........ I know they're out there..... And in here...... Everywhere ...
