My 62 Plymouth Fury Wagon has an aftermarket Power booster kit (China) (8' dual booster) that does not work correctly 1.125 MC. Way to much pedal effort.
Thinking of going to manual brakes. My fronts are disc/ rear drums. What master cylinder should I buy (bore size also). Do any of the MC come with the push rod ? It will need to be the 4 bolt mount to the firewall type.
Or does anyone know of a good quality power brake/MC kit that actually works without being a problem, That's not made in China.
Would you replace the power system with an aftermarket kit/ or just install a manual brake master cylinder...and know it should be trouble free ?????

I would try manual brakes. I have had two cars with manual discs. One had a 15/16" master and the other one a 1 1/32". The smaller master required less push, and I think a lot of people go that route. Dr Diff has what you need in either size, if you don't mind the non factory look.

Don't care about factory look, This is not a #'s correct kind of car :)
