Manual steering pitman arm

How can i tell if the pitman arm is bad. The ball joint end is easily moved with 2 fingers. Seems like a joy stick.:happy7:

Anyone have a part number for this?

If it won't move on the box, and drag link tightens in it=good.

The Pivot should be snug as a bug in a rug, as they say -- if you can move it with your fingers, it is "garbage-can material"

You don't state what car you have -- for me, it doesn't matter -- I have every single "B" "E" "A", and "C" Body PITMAN ARM from 1962 - 1976......
