With a Henry County driver behind the wheel, the car designed and built in Martinsville broke the record of 244.9 mph with a top speed of 253 mph.

Some new cars will go faster right off the showroom, like a Bugatti Chiron or Koenigsegg Agera RS.

This Daytona uses a 2006 stock car chassis, custom body and a highly modified 1,000 hp. 358 Nascar engine, no mention whether it's a Dodge or Chevy block.

What I find impressive is the speed that was reached with a naturally aspirated engine.

Nothing like the real deal...

too modern, maybe a modern Charger rebody/modern 358cid (not a hemi I assume ?)
Arrington power plant, an attempt & to make it look 'sort of like' the Org. Daytona,
on the back 1/2 (?), but the rear wing looks short too,
not very good photos
can't really see the front, inside looked like a modern NASCAR cage
their videos were from too far away, to tell anything
