I installed a Summit Racing front disc brake kit on my 1967 Charger. I decided to use InLine Tube flex lines from the master cylinder to the distribution block. Both ends of the flex lines use 3AN fittings. The master cylinder uses one 9/16x18 and the other uses 1/2”x20. The distribution block end uses one 3/8x24 and one 1/2x20. My problem is the 3AN side of both 1/2x20 fittings would not screw into the flex line fittings, like the thread pitch is wrong. The AN side of the other fittings screw in just fine on both ends of both lines. I bought another pair of the 1/2x20 fittings from a different supplier and they didn’t screw in either. Inline tube sent me two replacements and one screws in while the other one does not. Now they’re sending another one, fingers crossed. And BTW the AN sides of the “bad” fittings will not screw into 3/8x24 nuts at the hardware store.
So am I getting a bad run of 3AN 1/2x20 fittings from these different suppliers? OR am I not understanding something about AN fittings? Attached are pictures of four fittings. #1 is a 3AN 7/16 fitting that properly screws into the AN flex tube. The others do not.

AN fittings all have standard ends for the same size. All 3AN fittings have the same thread, taper etc. The thread is 3/8 - 24 for #3. You have some bad fittings.
