I have a 1969 Roadrunner with the correct Matte Black Paint finish on the hood..What is the best way to clean and polish .... I had another Roadrunner and I could always see my test spot as it gave it a rough look..That was over 8 years ago and I can not remember what I ended up using and I do not know if there is any thing else new on the market I could use.:icon_question:.Thanks in advance Rick 70RR

Polish now way to do that.On my 70 Road Runner I just used water get your sponge alittle extra wet wipe it down and then dry it off with a towel.Never wipe it down in the sun or if the hood is hot from driving. My brother tried to wax his boy was he sorry.

I'm not at that point yet but seems like a soft brush might do well.

What kind of paint did you use to for that correct matt black finish. If you used the correct Lacquer finish, it cleans pretty easly, if it was enamel, much harder...

Thanks ...Propwash...No matter what I seem to try it leaves swirl marks when it drys..
I did not paint. so I have no idea what was used..Thanks Rick
