Well at the last minute I decided to go to the Pure Stock Drags my car is a 58000 mile untouched original engine with the original exhaust bone stock and tied but I thrashed on it for a few days I had to take a few things off to make it legal to run but made it there and it ran a 15.44 and spinning most of the way one of the rules is you have to run stock tires .

I have been to that event as a spectator a few times. It is a great time, with a relaxed atmosphere. Although the participants are pretty serious about their racing, they like to talk about their cars and share racing tips. The racing is all for bragging rights. No trophies or $$$ involved. I always get a kick out of the Studebaker racing contingent there. Sometimes there are as many Studebakers as Chevrolets in the parking lot. They really support their racing buddies. It is always fun to watch these underdogs spank a better known Musclecar! These guys can reallly wring unbelievable ET's out of their Pure Stock cars!

Thanks you guys to all the great responses my grandkids had a blast as did I but the kids being there was the best part . I started my racing at the pure stocks 20 years ago in my A-12 super B and this is the first time back since 2010 and I’m only one hour from the track but like I said thanks very much for the likes and comments Big Bill.

Is that 5800 a misprint? I thought they weighed about 3700.
