I met one of our members tonight in Lincoln NE. I have been a member since 2010and always thought it would be great to meet up with others in the hobby and on this forum. So I met up with midwestmopar tonight. A very nice young man with a driveway full of mopars and one very nice 70 GTX. Nice to put a face with people you chat with on the FBBO. A thank you to Jeremy for taking time to show me his project. I look forward to seeing updates. And anyone that gets out to the Black Hills area would be more than welcome to come out have a cold one and talk cars.

now you tell me. wife and I had the young grandsons out Black Hills way this summer to see the country and get them away from those damn ipod things! 2nd time for us and enjoyed it as before. found the buffalo herds every day in Custer SP and they moseyed so close to our truck you could reach out and pet them, had you so desired. The grandsons didn't and were kinda scared from the size of the big bulls that looked at them eye to eye as they passed by. The boys did really get a kick out of the prairie dog antics, and the nosy donkeys though.

The wife and I cracked up one day as the herd wandered on up the road and surrounded a small econo car. We figured the folks must be getting kinda nervous as one bull scratched his head on the passenger side mirror while a cow rubbed her head on the front corner of the driver's fender. Unique souvenirs I guess.

I can tell you from experience, that it is very satisfying and rewarding to meet up with fellow members in person. I know I'm a long way away, but I have had the pleasure of meeting up with @70 Viper in NZ and @monroegtx in Australia. Both guys have great cars and are more than happy to share the MoPar experience with others. I also personally know and recommended @mowpar here in NZ to sign up, and caught up with newbie @Rob Magnus who recently purchased a sweet 1969 Dodge Coronet RT. Looking forward to meeting a few more members coming up in Summer.

I was thinking the same thing because that's what everyone says, and more, once they meet Yours Truly.

:D

Yeah they will do that. They get pretty nasty when there in the rut too. Well if you get back out that way there is a lot to do. Just give me a shout. We like just outside Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore.

Love that part of the country...

always nice to put a face with the names on this great forum...
well most the time...LOL

I concur Kiwigtx, it was great to catch up with you too. When you're a bit of a non socializer such as myself, it's great to catch up with other car nuts. Seems to break through all barriers. Went to the local Berwick car show today and chatted with a 68 Charger owner for over 15 minutes. Most talking I've done in the last 12 months lol :D.

I still can't believe i got to meet R/C. A experience i would recommend to anyone. To meet someone so Famous and such a God, is Truly a once in a Lifetime event.

How lucky you are. How has the experience changed your life? I would expect the sun would be brighter, the air fresher, and hot rich women would be throwing themselves at your feet!
