I've got a 1973 Satellite (RL21G3 car) in FE5 Rallye Red. We're building a .060 over 383 to drop in, and backing it with a 727 unless I can find a 4-speed... The original 318 is being transplanted into another Satellite in Indiana, and the 904 lives in Tennessee now, as backup for a race car.

I live in Central Michigan, married to a retired Marine, have a daughter in college and a son in high school. I work in a chemical manufacturing plant, and work waaaay too much. It's interfering with my MoPar time

My daily driver is a 2006 Daytona R/T in Go Man-go! The daughter drives a 1987 Ram, Hubby drives a 2009 Ram and the boy-child has a Volvo wagon. Sometimes, you just can't win!

I'm not a prolific poster, but I'm an accomplished lurker! I also lurk on moparts.com and dodgecharger.com, but was looking for more info on my B body. Would be nice to be able to hang with some more B body enthusiasts in the area! Also, someone close who can do decent body work would be nice, too...the Satellite is actually Michigan Two-tone - Red & Rust.

I'm trying...

I'm new at this picture-posting thing...bear with me. These are supposed to be clickable thumbnails, according to photobucket.

That's the '73 you can see through the windshield.

Here's the daily driver

Thanks, Chris, for the link. Will head that way after lunch...(yeah, I'm working nights, again.)

ETA: Pictures will post after approved by the mod, according to the message I got after finally figuring out how to add images.

Had to replace my laptop at work, and I don't have pictures of the Satellite on this one yet. Will get some up soon, I hope!

As of last week, the 383 has the cam and lifters installed but the crank and heads are still at the machine shop. Pistons will be ordered after the holidays, connecting rods are balanced to within 1/2 gram. Not looking for screaming horsepower, but somewhere in the 400-425 range will be perfect. I still have a long way to go - the engine only got started because my hubby's engine class needed a project for the semester. Now I just need to find a big-block donor car for the K frame and possibly an 8 3/4" rear axle housing...and maybe a good sheet metal guy, since quarters for this thing are non-existent in the aftermarket. Holidays are interfering with my MoPar budget...between that and work, the poor car is getting neglected. :(

Hi Micki! I dont think you will need a bb k-frame. The aftermarket has mounts that will bolt right up. May need larger torsion bars though. I have a 74 RR and I live in the Thumb. Maybe we can conspire together on any parts finds. Welcome!
