I don't know how many of y'all were fans of the iconic rock band, but the Moody Blues were a very large part of my music enjoyment when they were in their prime. Saddened by this loss as his voice was one to resonate and will be a welcomed addition to that Rock Band of the Heavens...RIP...cr8crshr/Bill:praying::praying::praying::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Beloved Rocker Dies Suddenly in the Midst of Tour, Family 'Heartbroken'

The Moody Blues were a regular in our household growing up.

“Tuesday Afternoon”
“Nights in White Satin”
“The Voice”
“Your Wildest Dreams”
“I know You’re Out There Somewhere”

….to name a few.

R.I.P. John Lodge.

The Moody Blues to this day, are my favorite Rock & Roll Band.
Saw them in concert, five time throughout the years.
Reno. Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Jose.
Sad to hear of his passing.
R.I.P.

Same here. I've been a huge MB fan for years.
And have seen them multiple times over the years. ALWAYS a great show.

Just saw Justin Hayward maybe 2 years ago. Touring on his own. Good show btw

“Nights in White Satin”

"Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey and yellow, white
But we decide which is right
Removes the colors from our sight...
Green is Gray, Yellow, White...
And we decide which is right
And which is an illusion"...

Great outro to this song by them...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

I was there for the "second time around" in the early 1980's.

Later, my friends and I did a "deep dive" on their early stuff.

"Interesting" lyrical content.

From another thread I posted : One of my top bands all-time. Seen them live several times. You forget original Moodies Mike Pinder and Ray Thomas, who've also passed on. Only Justin Hayward is still with us. They were the pioneers of progressive rock, and their album "In Search of the Lost Chord" is one of the best ever. When John Lodge and Hayward joined the band, they catapulted the band immensely. John Lodge ? He was Just A Singer in a Rock and Roll Band.................... R.I.P. John, you will be sorely missed.

My Moody Blues concert ticket from May 2011 at the Silver Legacy Casino, in Reno, Nevada.
$80.00 dollar ticket, back in the day.
