Well it all started in 1977. I was 15 and looking for my first car. One one my dads friends had told him about and old Dodge he wanted to sell cheap. The story was that his daughter had went to Florida with her boyfriend without permission. Her punishment was that he was gonna sell her car for the what it would cost to get her home. The amount was $140.00. I had 70 and my dad had the rest. We picked it up the next weekend. A 1968 Dodge Coronet 440. It was Dark Green with a badly damaged black vinyl top, 318 with 3 on the tree. Green bench seat. Took the top off and painted the roof black. Other than that just cleaned it up. I loved that car, when I turned 16 drove it to school most of that year. I challenged anyone interested in racing to a race. Didn't win any but loved every minute in that car. After trying to speed shift from 1st to second to many time the shifter kept getting hung in 2nd. I parked it and bought a Vega ( yea I said it ) to go to school with. In 1979 I traded both cars in in Atlanta for a brand new car. Joined the Navy that year. Since the had many cars but no Mopars. Flash forward to 10 years ago, after hundreds of car shows, I wanted another Mopar. Found a 74 Roadrunner. Features 318, auto on column, bucket seats with buddy seat, dual mirrors, rear window defroster, all windows tinted. White with green int. Things done: new paint, flowmaster dual exhaust, tires, radiator and water pump. Left to do: rear bumper, headlight bezels and a few small things. Runs and drives great. Will post pics soon. Great web site..tks

My 74 Roadrunner

Bought the car south of Atlanta. Car was rough, had sat for over 7 years. Asking price $1100. I took it for a test drive ( I brought battery cranked right up ) it would not come out of 1st gear (auto trans). Arranged for a tow truck and brought it home. A buddy of mine rebuilt the trans. Cleaned it up. Used a rust stop to cover the surface rust and started driving it. My wife mostly drove it. It kept running hot so I had a 4 row rad built, solved that. One day at Church I was talking to a new member and he said he had a body shop at his house.I took out the interior and brought it to him. 1 year and $2300. later it was painted. Original Spinnaker white. I put the bumpers and front parts and interior back together. Brought to muffler shop. Complete new Flowmaster dual exhaust. Every bend identical to factory pipes. New tires, shocks. Due to lack of space put in storage stall in town for 7 years. Brought it home early this year and 1 water pump later here we are. Trim tag: G40,E44,D34, EW1,D6G6,000,EW1,A03,B41,C56,G54,G64,G74,H51 J54,M21,M26,N41,N42,R11. And a couple hard to read. I do know it has all the windows factory tinted. Driver seat has 2 rips. The rest of interior all good except the dash pad several tears. Runs, shifts and drives great. After I get a newer bumper and lf headlight bezel I'll be hitting the car show. Great website. I know the tag says Egg shell white but was told same thing as spinnaker white, hope thats true. 318 auto on column.
