How important is this baffle plate in the Mopar performance valve covers? When I dropped them off at Phoenix Specialties last month I was told when I got them back it would be off and I needed to use red loctite screwing it back in so the screws did not vibrate down the motor. Below is a pic of what I am talking about but on a different valve cover. I would prefer to leave it off unless that is a bigger problem.

On the pvc side it will help to keep oil out of the engine. I would put them back in.

The PVC valve will actually Suck the motor oil out of your motor if that baffle isn't in place. And the Breather will blow oil out on the ohter side also.
Best to put them in !

I heard that locally as well but found it hard to believe, but after hearing it here twice it has got to be true. Thanks for the quick replies

I concur about the oil all over the place issues.

That Baffle piece is home made. The ones from MOPAR mount horizontally and are stamped as opposed to sheet metal that is clearly cut and made to fit. Just pointing that out is all....

Thanks for this topic guys. I probably wouldn't have thought of it. I checked my early stock valve covers and was glad to see I have both baffles......................MO
