Most Iconic Mopar Model and Year?

I suppose this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find it. I’m wondering which particular model and year of all the Mopar’s is the most iconic. The big variable in this question is what does it mean to be iconic I suppose. Anyways, interested in knowing your thoughts, let’s keep it to B-Bodies?
 
The problem with your question is you asked it on a biased site, dedicated to a particular body platform. You'd have to ask it on a site that was less biased.

2nd gen Charger, or a wing car will probably be your most popular answer on this site.
 
I think the 1968 Charger with the round tail and marker lights would be my selection, but pretty much any 1968-1970 Charger body style if asking the general public.
 
For sure the max wedge cars got everyone's attention.
Then the 66 B body 426 hemi cars hit and wow.
But if I had to pick the one iconic Mopar make ,model ,and year the one with traction for decades it is the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner.

If you limit it to b-bodies, I'd say a 68 road runner.
But iconic for CHRYSLER Corp, I'd say any big-finned 50s Chrysler. (Or Dodge, Plymouth or DeSoto.)

If you go by production numbers, road runner sales in 1969 make a good case. Similar number of chargers, but smaller numbers when limited to high performance versions. The '69 road runner was my favorite back in the day, until I discovered that the GTX came with the 440 and bucket seats as standard equipment.

Of course the second generation chargers have received a huge boost in current time, as a result of their media exposure to younger generations.
 
I think 1969 Road Runner. If you were alive in 1969 the Road Runner had a following. All us kids loved it and then there was the beep beep horn and the images of our favorite cartoon charactor. The 68 was nice too but the 69 had the ag hood option and the cool hod stripes.

When I finally reached the point where I could afford a Hemi car, I was looking for a bucket seat '69 Road Runner, having been around a couple back in the day. The right car didn't materialize, but that model was the epitome to me, then and now. If I hadn't snared my GTX from back in the day, I might still be looking.
 
From a purely objective standpoint, clearly the 2G (68-70) Dodge Charger. Back in the day, it was the Road Runner. But over the course of time, that Charger has become the symbol of the Mopar brand.
 
68 Charger. Sure, I own one but even if I didn't.
Second place would be Nash Bridges hemicuda vert IMO.

I would agree with this. I prefer the 70, but the 68 put the Charger on everyone's radar. In the world of NASCAR though, the 1969 Daytona Charger would be the most iconic year.
 
1968 RoadRunner. It spawned the relatively low cost Musclecar that allowed a lot of younger drivers to get into the game. Not everyone could afford a GTO or 442. Or a Charger, for that matter.

I prefer the 70 Charger R/T as my personal favorite Mopar. I might be bias because my parents bought one brand new when I was six years old. But the only way I have figured out which second generation Charger I preferred was to buy atleast one of each. That way I can enjoy the best features of all three of them. The 71 Charger R/T cars have grown on me too. They have a lot of cool things going on on them.
 
Yes: My personal favorites are the 71 Charger R/T and the 70 Challenger R/T. However I am thinking more to what cars influenced general public opinion back in the day, hence the 69 Runner choice. The second gen Chargers were always popular but the general public infatuation with them seemed to be driven by the dukey boys tv show in the 80's.
The two Mopars that you couldn't swing a cat without hitting one back in the day were the 68-69 Runners which were then replaced with Duster 340's when they came out. Everyone had one and they were the two cars that seemed more common than GM offerings back then.
 
57Fury. Maybe not iconic, but the best looking car of that year, and 1st year of torsion bars, and best ever sales, 3rd overall I think. Then...the 58 was in a movie, no?
