MSD or pertonix distributor

Looking at both of these for a mechanical distributor, both are adjustable but msd is a magnetic pick up and the pertonix is a hall effect pick up. Thoughts on either, I know a lot of people have the msd but has anyone tried the pertonix flame thrower distributor?

Pertronix is self contained so compares with the MSD Ready to Run unit. MSD has always been top shelf and their price reflects it. I've had good luck with Pertronix products, they seem to strike a good balance between cost and quality.

I had the Protronix, Junk IMO, I have the MSD unit. Great now. A little bit more money however just can not compare. Good luck.

I've been using the Pertronix billet distributor for about a year. I have a '68 Bee with a 383. I have no complaints so far. It seems to be nicely made and works well.
