Driving to my 52 year high school reunion in Salinas, CA (where this 1992 Jeep Cherokee XJ I am driving was first sold). Leaving from La Paz, BCS, Mexico this morning with 235,373 miles on the odometer. Just arrived tonight at Guerrero Negro, BCS, Mexico with 235, 876 miles on odometer. Doing the math, 503 miles divided by 25.15 gallons of gasoline equals EXACTLY 20 mpg! Still have about 1,000 miles ahead of me. On the way back I plan on stopping by TTI Exhaust Systems in Corona, CA to pick up a pair of head pipes to accommodate a pair of factory high-performance 340 exhaust manifolds for our '72 Satellite Sebring Plus.
