This is how they Belgians can be, he has the Fire.

This is also how they can be. Pleasing people is fun for them.

Malinois are absolutely amazing dogs, but i dont think i could handle one. I have enough trouble keeping my german shedders happy. They demand at least five sessions a day with the ball.

Those amazing dogs are bread to work, not be lap dogs. Anyone planning on getting one because they're "cute", had better be prepared. My cousin has one and if you don't "work" it daily, it will become a monster!!! Definitely NOT a dog for someone that lives in an apartment in the city.

my sister has them,
also trained in German in many cases
(& one Konie as her personal dog)
she gets or fosters, former military dogs or washed out dogs
& sometimes places them with vets/fosters to help with PSTD
I don't think she has any 'currently' other than her dog Konie

Konie is a trip, he is really better with men,
he tolerates my sister, she feeds & plays with him
he was raised in a 4x8' pen for the 1st 2 years
the only time he was let out, was to train,
"allegedly" it's the military way, now he does not like the kennel
he was an ordnance dog IIRC, trained to go in "Rat holes"
or dwelling 1st to weed the "subjects out"
you see his extensive training sometimes too

not for everyone

if
they are trained well, they are excellent dogs
if not they can be a real handful

pretty much like any working dog
