Just have to share my excitement with the community. I finally found my unicorn car, 1968 Dodge Coronet Wagon! I have a 68 Coronet 2 door that looks like a bee and have always wanted a matching wagon. I've been looking for almost 2 years now. There are plenty of 69's, lots of Plymouths, but I could never find a 68 dodge. Saturday night I found one about 4 hour drive from home. Sunday afternoon, I was bringing it back on the trailer. It's a 440 package, 318 column shift, power steering, manual front disc brakes, cruise control, six passenger. Has almost no rust, only the passenger side spare tire well.

I drove it to work this morning. Already had my first breakdown. Ran out of gas pulling into the gas station down the road from the house. Had to buy a can and fill it up in the parking lot. I planned to fill it up at that gas station, was just about 50 feet short of the pump with no help to push. Very embarrassing. But she fired right up once I put gas in it. I just laughed it off. Smooth as silk going 70 down the highway. Heater would have been nice.

If anyone has a four door/wagon front seat I want it. I'm also looking for a factory steering wheel, condition is not important. First things first, factory wheels and hub caps with new tires, electronic ignition, and fix the heater.

Anyways, just wanted to share my excitement and show y'all a picture. I know it's just an old nothing special wagon. But hey, I really really like it!

edit: I attached more pictures, I agree that one just wasn't enough. A forum member has already volunteered to send me the correct seat and possibly a steering wheel to fix the atrocities in the third picture.

exciting to me to see another one alive and well. I also have a 68 coronet 500 wagon and that is awesome to see someone taking care of another one. :headbang:

I like it. Glad you found it. That is neet that you can make a matching set with your other car.

OK, go back and look at the top, I posted a few more. Just hold back the disgust/laughter when you see the front seat and steering wheel. There is also a lot to be done under the hood to get it looking more original and less zip tie, bailing wire, and butt splice if you know what I mean...

I'm Happy for you, that is a kick *** wagon you scored!

When I finish my Satellite( soon). That's on my list. 62 Dart or 64 Dodge 440 wagon

Ahhhh. The elusive Unicorn. I found two. A '61 Valiant wagon and a '68 Petty blue roadrunner. Took 40 years. Sweet ride you found.
