n96 ramcharger and a/c, any info?

does any one know if there are any clearence issues with the ramcharger ductwork or air cleaner assembly and the a/c setup on a 440 engine in a 70 coronet r/t?

I saw one 69 N96 car that had "dealer" a/c, but it was the Ford style compressor, and way off to the driver's side of the engine.

It's always been my understanding that the factory compressor interfered with the base of the air cleaner on the 69 & 70 Ramchargers. That's why N96 was never available from the factory with A/C. Same with the wiper motor, you had to have a 3-speed wiper motor to get enough clearance with the N96 air cleaner base.

With the newer aftermarket setups, I'll bet you could make it work. The newer compressors are much smaller and some setups locate the compressor lower on the side of the engine.
