Hey all...I'm lookin for some advice and possibly parts if anyone has them. I have a 74 charger that had a factory 318, however when I purchased it, it was traded out with a 383. Thus I have a bit of squirrling with the car and am trying to see if getting a larger torsion kit would help. My torsion bars are back up to level.

So first of would i need larger torsion bars....and if so what size should/could I go up to??

and if I do need such parts, is anyone out there willing to sell them???

thanks

Mike

I "Believe" you need a set of torsion bars from a 400 car. Years ago I went from a 340 to a 413 max Wedge in my 1973 Charger, and put a set of 440 torsion bars in it. Of course, that was when you can buy the torsion bars in a junkyard for $20.

Firm Feel makes the longer bars for 73-79. Firmfeel.com

Good time to decide if you want to replace or upgrade the iso bushings which will help with handling. They come in stock rubber, poly, or solid cast/aluminum. There are also a few tricks with the rear end mounts which will keep the car from crab walking.

awesome!! thanks for the help everyone....also upon closer inspection it appears im missing bushing on my stabilizer bar, should i find a replacement for the bushing or the whole bar??
