Of course the Am radio in my GTX doesn't work, and I'm not spending any money to get a radio that will fit the dash. On a previous post about radios someone posted a small box that would drive some speakers and had multiple inputs, and Bluetooth too. I think they might be made for boats. I would like to go that route if anyone knows what I'm looking for. I can't find it on here, and my internet search has been frustrating as I don't know what it might be called to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good luck, not sure what it's called either

I got these Klipsch Detroit Bluetooth speakers. I stream pandora from my phone. When I show the car I put them in the trunk. They are very high quality. You can get just one, but if you get two then you can pair them together and they will play in stereo. They are not cheap but cheaper than a good head unit. I just noticed Klipsh has them on sale now for $260 each. I paid $325. I think the Detroits are the only Klipsch that you can pair and they play stereo, so keep that in mind if you are thinking about their cheaper models.

I forgot to mention they are not those small dinky speakers. They are quality speakers about the size of a horizontal center speaker. They do fit on the back shelf but I usually just put them on the back seat in case I have to slam on brakes. I might look at Velcro or something else non damaging or noticeable but for now the back seat works fine.

I've also purchased one of these while back but haven't tried it yet

I'm very happy with my Tayman radio conversion. I sent mine for a simple AM/FM stereo conversion.
Radios for antique and vintage cars
No blue tooth or other things. Kept it simple.
I might only use the car radio for traffic reporting since I want no distractions while driving. (Atlanta you know)
For other things I have my Marshall blue tooth speaker that I can link to my cell phone.
Other people have suggested that option too.

Gardens of Nocturne, forbidden delight
Reins of steel and it's alright
Cities on flame with rock and roll
Marshall will buoy.....

Thanks everybody for the ideas. The Marine Bluetooth Amplifier that hunt2elk posted looks like what I'm looking for. I have a small XM radio that I have basically made plug & play and have connected to several different cars and it looks like it would connect to the Marine Bluetooth Amplifier. With that I can hide everything and no one would even know it's there. I've had XM radio for close to 20 years and it works great, especially when pulling a camper all over the country which is why I bought it. You don't have to search for a station and I can even listen to my CUBS games during baseball season. Thanks again.

Get yourself a Sirius-XM unit for your car, and then you will have unlimited "tunes" of all the sounds that you can think of.
My .02 cents worth on the subject.

I got it to work by putting it in the Ggle machine. That thing looks like it would be alright if you had a working radio. Mine is DOA. It's got pwr, and I tried a different speaker, but no joy.

Please let us know how that one works if you try it out.

I sent the AM/8 Track from the GTX to be serviced and repaired, for an extra $25 they installed a jack so I could connect an iPod. I also upgraded the speakers. Everything looks stock and it sounds good for what it is…

He does a great job with factory radio. Mine is now am/fm Bluetooth
Has preamp output for amplifier. Once you figure out the function it works great and sounds great for being able to keep the factory radio

So I got the radio/amplifier installed and hooked up in my GTX and it works great so far. Here's what I got and how I installed it.
I got this VELEX amplifier from AMZN that is made for use in boats, atv's, motorcycles, pretty much anything offroad. It is waterproof and all sealed up.

As you see it has a wired control head and connections for USB, RCA, and Bluetooth. 3 pwr wires, 2 with inline fuses for the amps that are hot all the time, and a wire to a keyed source to turn it off and on. It even has a wire for a pwr ant. I mounted it right on the back of the radio with a couple of brackets I fabbed up because it only weighs a couple of pounds. Ran all the wiring for control head, plus my XM radio into the console out of sight.

Here's the control head and my XM radio in side the console and the ant for the radio which is a magnet that I can pop off and stick in the trunk when I don't want it seen.

As you see it is not visible from inside at all. I have a flash drive with music on it plugged into it now with the orange tag on it. I've ordered an extension for the USB so I can put it in the console also. When you turn it on the pwr head has blue background color meaning it is on bluetooth. If your phone is paired to it, it will say connected. You push the round button once and it turns purple and is connected to aux. which for me is my XM radio. Push it again and it's red and connected to USB. It has volume control, 4 preset tone settings, next/prev song for the USB. Pretty much does it all. 2 400W Kenwood 6x9s in the back work great.
