Hello all,

i have a 69 RR, auto on the floor and it won't start in park only neutral. I tested and replaced the switch. I did test on the car and it would start in park before I put in the tranny.

My question is- what linkage do I adjust for this problem? I would like to fiddle with the linkage before I open the tranny. Is the adjustment at the shifter or on the tranny?

If you're not wanting to mess with it, just ground out the NSS post on the starter relay... granted this would make your car start in any gear...

if all your bushings are good, adjust the one down at the trans. There's a bar with a bolt stop, loosen it, move it along the rod, tighten it. Chances are that you are not fully engaging park, even though the column indicator and parking sprag are engaged.

Just throwing this out there because I don't know your set up..... Does your car possibly have a pre '69 tranny in it? If so, the armature inside the tranny is different and would require the single post NSS.
