New 71 Satellite!

72 tailight lens on seat rear bumper been upgraded

Interesting. I’ll have to give it a look when I get home.
Most we’ve done so far is assess the damage, I gotta get the floor pans in, more popped off twice but it looks pretty mucked up in the cylinders with the bore scope.

License plate says it was last registered in 1987.

Hey long time no post, just haven’t got a chance to work on the car yet. It wound up on the backburner, as I acquired another car by accident.

Long story short, i found a 2011 Smart Car at an auction some years ago, which I enjoyed, it’s like a lil golf cart for runnin around town. I drove it for about a year, then went to sell it. (I paid $700 for the smart car.) in which someone offered me a 1951 Hudson Commodore. Needs a clutch. So I have since been working on that, installed floorpans, rust repair, new cork wet clutch installed, getting ready to get the tranny back in so I can get it driving again and get the mopar in the stall.

Just wanted an update as I hope to have many more posts to come, and didn’t expect to wind up with two project cars back-to-back like this, but I love them both.
I’m steadily gathering parts on the satellite, as I know once I get into it I intend to go hard.
Focusing on getting the interior livable and the rust manageable before engine, as I’m hoping a miracle will happen and a cheap engine and tranny will magically fall in my lap at the right time. I’m thinking a 408 stroker, or stroking a 400, 440, or even buying a wrecked 5.7 hemi, 6.2 or 6.4, either way the goal for the sat is drivability, scary power, and comfort. As I don’t ever intend to sell this car, the Hudson is 50/50. When I get to the point the roller is ready for a good heart, I’ll make the decision then.

Posted a photo of a Hudson wet clutch disk because it’s just the most bananas thing I’ve ever seen.

Got more pictures of the comodore? Not an H Power correct?
Nope it’s a 262, 3 on tree overdrive.
Fell in love with it as my first truck was a Leanin’ Tower Of Power 3 on the tree 62 dodge long bed. Something about the 3ott that brings me back, so satisfying to shift.
