I'd personally caution against a tail stripe with the side trim still on.

I did wonder about that one thing as well.
Has anyone seen a tail stripe with the side trim or should the trim be removed all together.
This car seems pretty original except for that wing thingy and the rims and I kind of am a purist and hate to change things if it is not right.

Yes it started out as a 383-2 but one of the guys before me put an edelbrock 383 performer intake and 4 bbl carb.
I am guessing then that they also changed the exhaust manifolds as they are the HP ones not the logs I think it would have come with.
Also the engine should be turquoise I think not orange.
Oh and about that wing on the trunk, it is how do they say it ? Wing Delete !
I am leaning toward the wrap around stripe though

If it’s the engine original to the car, they could have done an overhaul or rebuild and painted it orange. I almost did

wonder if they replaced or kept the 2 barrel cam...

I decided to keep it the original blue for the 2 barrel engine

Apparently folks would do hp manifolds, duals, and a 4 barrel/manifold
and that would really wake up stock 2 barrel 383s
