Gentlemen and ladies, just here to introduce ourselves to you all. My son and I have embarked on a project revolving around a very solid 1969 Dodge Coronet we bought from a B Bodies member. My son Pete is off to the Auto Restoration program at McPherson College this fall and we wanted to find him a good project car to fiddle with in his spare time. So far we have rebuilt the front suspension and converted the front drums to disc brakes. We bought a rebuilt 440 and the car came with a big block 727 tranny which we had rebuilt with a Transgo Stage 1 shift kit. The owner also supplied an 8 3/4" rear end (741 case) which we are gonna have rebuilt with a .355 sure grip gear set. We're both learning as we go and having a great time. We're gonna have a bunch of questions and look forward to the helpful advice you can all provide.
By the way we're gonna have a lot of parts for which we'd be glad to find a new home. So far, we have complete front drum brakes and lower control arms which were in service until just a week ago. Soon, we'll have a 318 driveline (motor, trans, driveshaft and rear end). We are located in Johnstown, PA and would offer those parts free to anyone who could use them and who is willing to come and get them. I'll post this on the correct forum once I learn my way around the site.
I'll post a coupla photos of the car after I figure out the preferred method for doing so on this site.
