I live In SW Missouri and I am currently re-restoring my fathers 69 GTX. He bought the car in the early 70's and it has been in the family since then. it was previously resorted years ago, but last year it caught on fire and was totaled by the insurance company. I bought it back and am slowly piecing it back together. I also have a 68 Super Bee and a 70 Challenger.

Welcome, I've seen your challenger at the street machines. I'm here in springfield too.

Nice 68 Bee

welcome to FBBO

:welcome: aboard!

Nice cars, I had a 70 Challenger just like that without the wheels. What state is it from?

Car Nut, I'm in Missouri and the Challenger was originally title here back in the day, so its always been in MO. I bought it out of a salvage yard about 15 years ago.

Hi, glad to see you're putting these cars back together. Welcome:wav:

The Challenger didn't happen to come from R&R in Aurora, Mo did it? Saw a lot of them there, back in the day. Welcome to FBBO I'm in Joplin.

Hadn't thought about R&R in a long time. A buddy of mine bought a GTS Dart from them back in the day. Lots of cool cars and parts, too bad... But no, the challenger came from a mom and pop yard down in the boothill.

aldal, attached are a couple of pics of the car after the fire. The exterior was OK except for the hood, but the interior was pretty well destroyed. Some rarer stuff like the pwr windows, rear window defroster, 3 speaker dash frame were Ok and still usable. The AM/8-track and the woodgrain dash pieces were destroyed and are the parts that make me most sick as I am having a hard time finding those pieces. Good news is that it was insured with Hagerty and they were fantastic to work with. Im not very good with build threads, but I will try to post a few pics as it progresses.

Love the GTX. I'm also in Springfield. Own a 67 Coronet 500 two door hardtop. All original. Maybe I'll see you at some shows.

I don't enter many local shows, just never enough time it seems anymore. But I'll keep an eye out for your car. What color is it? Have any pics?

Welcome!
I've got family over in Marshfield and spend quite a bit of time in that area. Have a few contacts nearby and the remains of a 69 Coronet 2 door if anything would be needed PM me.

hi and welcome to the site :headbang:
