Has anyone bought and installed the new repro. gauges being sold by several vendors like YO , Vans and several others. I wonder if they source them from the same companies, probably Chinese. I am talking about the rallye gauges for 68-70 B-Bodies. They look pretty good but you can't tell by a picture. They are cheaper than having the old ones rebuilt. I am undecided of which way to go. Plus you don't have to wait 5 or 6 weeks to get them back. Give me your thoughts and experiences. Thanks to all who respond.

I bought them for my RoadRunner, gas gauge seems to be all rite but my oil gauge flops all over the place mostly on the low side. It shows any where from 20-40 lbs. idleing. Put a mech gauge on it and it stay on 50-55 lbs. And you have to buy the new circuit board are they won't work. They do look good. I bought a new speedo and tach and all seem to be good except the oil gauge. I would buy them again because they beat the non working ones. Good Luck Ronnie

I am in the same "boat" that you are.....I have 70 RR I bought last fall (my 1st Mopar) and this winter one of the projects is to restore the rally dash, replace or get the gauges restored. I have been seeing a lot of owners of the rally dash cars having a lot of issues with the gauges..(I have since installed a set of aftermarket gauges under the dash) ...I know I am going to go with one of the re-pro tic-toc-tacs, they are supposed to be designed to work with the newer ignition systems also (MSD, etc...) etc...).....It seems like the places that restore the dashes want an awful a lot of money so I am going to go with the aftermarket gauges and if for some reason they don't work I figure I can always send them back and get a refund and send the old ones out at that point......plenty of time to get that done during the winter months so I will not miss any "cruising" time.......
I am even looking into replacing the stock gauges with "after market" round 2 1/16" gauges.....have seen photos of some rally gauge clusters set-up like that.....best of both worlds.......still stock looking with the reliability of modern gauges......

Okiemopar, where did you buy your gauges? Do they have some type of adjuster on the back or somewhere to fix these type problems? Thanks for the response. Anyone else bought and used these?

Regarding these repro guages, are you guys talking about the OER brand that Classic Industries sells? I have been really close to placing an order for them. My oil pressure guage crapped out last winter. The temp guage reads low too. I don't like the look of added on guages. The OER ones look nice in the pictures.

Yes, I am talking about the gauges that look like OEM. I have seen these gauges at several different suppliers. By looking at them, they all look the same. I wonder if they all source them from the same place (probably China). Trying to find anyone that has bought and used them and if they work good. They do look very good, but how good is the question? They appear to be cheaper than having our gauges repaired and refaced. So the question again, are they any good and worth the money. Keep the responses coming.

I bought mine from Classic and I think they are all made in the same place. They all work good except my oil pressure gauge, it reads 20-30 lbs. pressure idling and I put a mechanical gauge on it and it was at 50-55 lbs. I got the new speedo and tach and they work fine. But if you go with the new gauges you have to buy the new electronic circiut board for them to work. The new board will work with the old gauges but you have to have it for the new ones to work. They all look good and I would buy them again. Good Luck Ronnie

Btt...anyone else have any input or experience with these gauges. I am still on the fence on buying new or having mine restored. Also, if I would buy new, I wouldn't buy an amp gauge, because I did the amp gauge bypass and would have my old one converted to a Volt gauge. Thanks fellas.

I restore the originals and calibrate my own. If you use originals, make sure you buy the solid state volt limiter for the constant 5 volts. IMG_0170.jpg
