Hey there. Been browsing the site awhile, figured I might as well sign up! I've got a 70 Plymouth Roadrunner project car that I bought back in 96 or 97. I was 18 and figured it'd be a great daily driver! lol It ran for a few days, if that! lol Started as a DY3 yellow with a dark green top and interior. When I got it it was mostly bondo, rust, and cheapie black primer, with interior pieces out of a Superbee and a different Roadrunner.
Got it cheap and at the time I wanted to tub it, so I figured a bit of rust was just fine. lol Threw in a .060 383 with 11.5:1 compression out of a Duster drag car, but still have the stock 4speed and 3:23 8 3/4 (for now, at least.) A few years back the barn it was sitting in (yes, I live in Nebraska), fell on top of it during a real bad storm, so now (after all the shock!) I'm finally getting back into the project, figuring out what all needs to be replaced from the barn incident. Just got it back to running once again, but since I cut out my drivers floorpan for replacement years ago, it's a bit of a hairy drive! lol Hope to figure out stuff on my car on here and hopefully find some replacement parts here, too!

RoadrunnerRod,
Welcome aboard.
Thanks for becoming a member!
Sounds like a nice car.

Welcome to FBBO, love them RR's

I'll bet you're glad you didn't get the time to tub it out now.

They finally make quite a few parts for them, so it's a good time to pile in and go to work on it, but I'm not so sure about the green/yellow thing.

A friend of mine had a '69 Coronet 500... Yellow with black below the lower bodyline trim, a green vinyl top and ... red interior... yah, wow.

I believe it was an ordered car, so he was either color blind, or borderline illiterate when he filled out the order.

Check the lower corner of the advertizement... They are labelling a post car as a hardtop.

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! Post up some pics when you get a chance.

welcome neighbor! I'm right down the road in Milford.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I will definitely have to go out and take some pics of the Rustrunner.... err, Roadrunner for ya guys! And biginch=bigfun, you live up in Milford? That's cool... I took autobody a few years ago there. I'm actually headed down there tomorrow to pick up some much needed body parts for my 70 Roadrunner, pretty excited! :headbang:

Hello and welcome!
I prefer the looks of 70 Road Runners and 70 GTX's better than my 69 GTX! I am new as of last week. Attach some photos. I have attached some restoration photos I am doing on the 69 GTX in my welcome post.

That's funny... when I picked up my 70 Roadrunner years ago I was actually looking for a 69 (had a buddy in high school that had a really sweet one!) But, the 70 definitely grew on me (I guess the pistol grip and rallye gauges helped a lot!)

Sounds like I better get to taking some photos of my barn squashed Roadrunner... just haven't wanted to for awhile since it usually would make me sick or pissed seeing it like that. :angryfire: Thankfully, last week I started picking up the parts to replace what's been crushed, so things are gonna be much better looking soon :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Sorry 'bout that... guess I'm not much of a picture taker! lol I'll get out there sometime soon (if our 10 month old daughter will let me! lol) and get some pics for you guys.

I see you're a sandblaster? Pretty cool, I used to do that for a few years myself, always enjoyed wearing that fresh air helmet and blasting the crap out of things! But then one day I fell 3 stories off some scaffolding onto my face and hands at work blasting the side of a building... was on disability for a good year or so! Should have been much worse... found out that helmet worked real nice as a hard hat! lol

Here's a crappy pic of the Roadrunner from 7 or 8 years ago (prior to the barn falling on it!) Found this on my old Myspace page, of all places! lol
