Hi all, new guy here. I am a Mopar enthusiast since practically birth. My dad worked for Chrysler (Dodge, specifically) in the late 60's through the early 80's in a regional office in Dallas. He got a company car and used to bring home new Chargers, Challengers Monacos, Polaras, etc. that I loved to drive, at least when I got old enough.

I now have a 64 Belvedere and a 68 Coronet R/T. Both are projects. The Coronet is stripped to the shell. Trying to finish a couple of other projects so I can get to it. I am also the Dad of another new guy on this board. Here's his first post:

We're in the process of fixing up his new toy so he can drive it daily. Here are some pics of mine (before teardown):

Welcome! I love your cars. What part of Texas are you calling North Texas?

Welcome, didn't look like the coronet needed a tear down. Nice car.

Welcome to the board DW. I like the Coronet but I'm partial to the 64 Bel as I have one also. I think it's great that your son is interested in Mopars.Belvedere Oct 08 003.JPG

Thanks guys.

Don, I live in the DFW metroplex, on the north side of Lake Lewisville.

Smitty, that's a great looking Belvedere. Those wheels look great. Wish mine looked that good. Someday...

Sublime, I know, everyone says that when they see the pics of the Coronet. But pics don't always tell the story. The engine and suspension were wore out, and that paint is not original and is covering a lot of bad stuff. There are 2 or three repaints over each other and there is significant rust. Probably need both quarters (or at least lowers if I'm lucky) floor pans, rear window channels and a number of other things. There is about 20 ponds of bondo in one quarter.

welcome aboard nice cars. good luck with the project
i seen the bondo trick before on a winter beater i bought. they riveted chicken wire across the hole to hold the bondo. got me through the winter though. lol

nice looking rides:headbang:
