Hello Everyone! Stumbled upon this forum & I've been reading for days! Very informative forum! I currently own a '32 Ford w/ a 392 Hemi in it, a '70 Nova & an '08 BMW BUT when I was in high school my graduation present was a new '65 Plymouth Belvedere I with a 383 & a Torque Flight. A med color blue w/ blue interior... And it was fast (well, fast for 1965). I really think whoever put the engine together was having a good day that day & not hung over cuz it was exceptionally fast. A friend in high school had a '65 GTO w/ 3 2's, low geared posi, cheater slicks & headers. From a dead stop he'd beat me by 2 lengths & from a roll I'd beat him by 2 lengths. I got a kick out of reading on here that the 383's back then were faster than the 426 street motors. Another friend had a 426 street motor (either '64 or '65 don't remember) & I literally dusted his a**. I was so far ahead I thought he missed 3 shifts! But, I had no idea that was the norm... Anyway, current goal is to get another '65 Belvedere I (or '65 Dodge w/post). Can't afford the hemi's so I'll like a 383,361,318... great to be here! Bill
