Hello,
I've been lurking here and looking for a while now. Been looking for the right car for years, but hope to pull the trigger soon.
My current baby is a 71 cuda V-code tribute, and been enjoying it for 6 years, and actually have it for sale. And uhh, as some of us could probably guess, thats a prerequisite laid down by my better half.
Obviously the ebodies are close cousins, so I should be able to jump in the deep end here and hope to start contributing where I can.
Thanks in advance to all

We need a pic of your 'Cuda. My pal has a bitchin 70 'Cuda. On the road I'll take the Coronet any day. Welcome. image.jpgimage.jpg

Thanks, Heres a couple of my favorites

And this is probably my favorite pic of all.
I spent months last year rebuilding and tuning those holleys.
All I can say is I know it runs better than it did before

That's a slick looking 'Cuda you have there. Welcome to the FBBO site....may your search for a Plymouth B Body go well. :hello2:

Welcome that's a nice cuda you have there ,
I don't know if I would let that baby go.
If it was me the wife would be going not the car.
Good luck in your b body hunt what are you looking for?

Damn! They don't have any Cuban Sandwiches around there do they?

Sure do. I have em for lunch all the time.
And I thought about the wife deal, but.... shes a keeper.
Im looking for a 71 preferably but a 72 will do also. RR clone car. I know what I want, and there are a couple out there, but need to sell the cuda first. Hopefully it will sell soon.
My dream RR tribute is either petty blue w/white interior and an automatic, so the wife could enjoy driving it too, or a black on black 4 speed, for me only. Either way I'll keep her happy.

I hear you on that one! Gotta keep the wife happy, especially if she's the real keeper! That is one bad lookin 'cuda you got there. Hopefully you get some good change out of her to get what you're looking for!

Happy wife is a happy ;-) life

Nice 440-6bbl cuda' clone

check out the Marketplace forums here when your ready to buy

good luck & Happy Moparing

This is the one I found and just brought home. Lots of work ahead, but its clean, with very little rust in a few isolated spots underneath. The painted exterior surfaces are very good, no rust or bubbles, with only a few minor flaws in the paint. As I did with my cuda, I expect to spend the next few years slowly improving on it, and bringing it closer to what it deserves, although it is an excellent driver already.
It looks to have had the passenger rear quarter replaced, and I cant find a VIN on the radiator support, so it may have had some front end repairs in its life. Main differences from original are:
-column to console shift conversion
-black interior instead of original blue (I may stay with it)
This is of course in addition to the obvious bolt on types of things.
One thing at a time.
I love the way it drives. Being a little older, I appreciate the auto tranny compared to the cuda 4 speed, and its definitely set up a little more cushy too. I have to say, even though Ive only driven it 3 or 4 times, its seems to fit me better and it seems more driveable, if that makes sense.
btw, just read my original post, and I guess I made a nice compromise. Paid more than I wanted to because its not a clone, but I got the black with auto, so my wife can drive it too.
She likes it! When Im through with it, it will be the baddest *** muscle car on the block.

She's Looking pretty nasty as she sits. I love black on black look. What's the plan for the car. A quick sneak peek..

For one, going to bring the wheels out about an inch front and rear to fill the fenders more.
Heres a hint:

that's sweet Tommy...are you gonna look for the correct 72 RR grill?

No original grill. Dont want to spend the money, and I actually prefer the 71 type. Im guessing one day though someone will either starting making decent copies, or maybe I will come across a decent one for not so much $$. If so I will pick one up just in case. If I had a 72 grill now I would want to paint it black anyway lol
I prefer the 71 grill, but the 72 rear bumper. Im probably weird, but thats what I like.
I also wanted an air grabber hood so bad, but now, this callout hood is growing on me. I will do something corny and different with it. Thinking of a decal that says "ACME Anvil Co." instead of the "400"
I hope no body has done that before.
