Hello, I'm a new member from Connecticut. I have a 1968 Road Runner that I have owned since 1987, my first car. I've sent her out for a total resto, body/paint, etc. She is the standard "run of the mill" 383, auto on the column, electric blue hardtop with the decor package. Back in '87 I wanted the 4 speed but could not find one that wasn't destroyed or overpriced. The car has been totally stripped down to bare steel, metal work is done and is sitting in a nice coat of primer. Once the paint/body is done, it will be time to put the mechanics together. I am toying with the idea of making her a standard but am torn between the 5 speed conversions or the A833 4 speed. I am leaning for the A833 but where can I find the "whole package" of things I will need. I really don't want to go to car shows and buy it piece by piece but if I buy things I want them to fit properly. I am talking everything down to the correct shifter (bench seat) to the linkage, pedals, clutch, flywheel....you guys get the point. Any ideas? I see that Stephens and Brewer's offer complete kits....any good? Some of the parts are repro and don't know if they fit/work properly. Any ideas/input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot

hi and welcome to the site :headbang:

If money is no object and your time is more valuable than what it would take to search and acquire parts ( took me 1-2 years to get all the conversion pieces for my 70 RR), then get a complete kit from Brewers or Jamie Passon. Passon is in PA, so closer to you if you have any problems down the road with the parts.

Welcome! You can also post an ad in the Wanted to Buy (WTB) section here saying what you're looking for. I'll be selling my whole A833 setup as I'm moving to a 6 speed but don't yet have a timeline on when it will be for sale.
