Welcome to FBBO from Ontario, Canada, Francois. You have a great looking 1967 R/T, in a beautiful colour combination. Thanks for your pictures. Legendary racer, Dick Landy, used these colours on his 1967 Super Stock Coronet's. Your car might have been a "White Hat Special" car. This was a package that combined select convenience options, with a white vinyl top option. I think it was a spring sales promotion, meant to spur sales, midyear. Dick Landy often raced with a white cowboy hat in 1967. I am not sure whether the option package was named for this, or whether he wore the hat that year, in support of the package. I also have a 1967 R/T, but in Daffodil Yellow.

Beautiful Coronet R/T rocking redline tires!

I love keeping my cars as close to their original condition as possible. White-lettered tires look great, but redlines just feel so much more authentic.
Does anyone have a favorite brand for redline tires? I’d love some recommendations.

I’m also a huge fan of the classic stories, like the “White Hat Special” and legends like Dick Landy—thanks for bringing them up!
My Coronet is, from what I know (win code and fender card), a true R/T. The White Hat Special wasn’t an R/T, right?

The green car next to mine is an Alfa Romeo. It belongs to a friend who’s really into classic cars and bikes—his collection even includes a sweet Dodge van. Always fun to see what he brings out next!

First, for me, driving a classic V8 is a completely different world!

The 289 already sounds and pulls beautifully, but the 440… wow. Raw brutality, pure torque, pure power, pure fun. Hit the gas and the kick-down throws you back in your seat—it’s addictive. Honestly, I can’t get enough of it!

I had problems with Coker redline tires. I now am using DiamondBack redlines. The Cokers took a lot of weight to balance, while the DiamondBacks balanced like a normal tire. One of my Cokers failed at about 4,000 miles, so now, it's a side table in my man cave.
I have 235R70 x 15 on the rear, with 215R70 x 15 on the front.
