New member looking for parts for 68 Roadrunner

I have a 1968 roadrunner that I have had since I was 17 (I'm 53 now-old!) 24 years ago when my son was born I put it away in storage for what was only supposed to be a few years until I could get time to restore it! Well more than a few years has gone by and I am finally getting some time to give it a shot. The biggest thing missing is the front bench seat. Does anyone have one for sale? I want to put it back as close to original as I can and I am finding most of the other parts needed. Any help with finding a front bench seat would be great! Thanks, Sandy

Welcome to FBBO - good luck with the search. We have similar stories. I bought my 68 GTX when I was 17 also and put it to sleep for decades until about 5 years ago. I restored the whole thing over 5 years. I'm 63 now and just began to enjoy it about a year ago. A lot of help from FBBO members. You'll find a lot of help and smart people here.

I believe a 68 & 69 are the same...Is it a split bench? How much would you need for it?

Heck, mine sat for over 15+; got so bad the guys @work called it the 'super shelf' for all the crap piled on top of it.

I sold one a while back near perfect org.
to another member for $250 {worth more} he came to pick it up,
it'd been well over $600 if it was shipped properly...
shipping costs are way out there, big items like a seat,
crated weighed 130#'s was a big shipping item,
nearly as much cost to ship, as the seat is worth...
of course depending on where it comes from & goes too !!
trying to find one locally & redo it or buy a cover foam etc.,
maybe the best avenue...
