Ever since I got rid of my Charger over 25 years ago, I waited for the day when I could buy another B Body. Last night I picked up a 1968 Dodge Coronet RT which had been previously owned by local members and garaged for a long time. Needless to say, it will take some work to bring it back but I'm looking forward to it. Got a lot of spare parts with it - as soon as I fugure out what's there, I'm sure I'll make some of them available. Thanks to the ChazMan for helping me get it home!

Welcome BigBear440. When you get it running, maybe you can touch base with Dennis Larsen ('69 Super Bee) and Ron Diskin ('70 Hemi RR) over in Woodstock. I used to run with them when I lived in Woodstock, while I owned a '64 Max Wedge Belvedere.

Hey Guys, this is Big Bears little brother. My brother is new at this and I informed him about this great site. I am on the a body forum as that is what I have. This guy let go of a nice 69 Charger back in the day and life just got in the way and he just put his b body wants on the back burner. I knew of this R/T for awhile and was at one point thinking of getting it but just stuck with the old a body instead. I know the seller of this car as well and "the moon was in the seventh house" so to speak and my brother and my buddy got together and a deal was made. He has a real nice car to start on and will surely be looking for odds and ends and will have lots of questions as well. I am really happy for my brother and I am exited about his getting what he wanted after so many years. He deserves this car and I know he will make this ride something special. I am posting a pic of my ride and some of his as well. Enjoy all!!

SWEET.. But he needs to ditch that blue regulator before there is a problem.

seriously

Welcome to Fbbo. Looks like a great find. Just love those B-bodys.
Also love the A-body is that b5? Am also a A-body person with 69 GTS Dart and 72 340 Duster

69runner, thanks for the tip on the regulator. He and I will be going through the entire electrcal system prior to the car being on the road. Its got a long way to go.

415satellite66, the car is a shade lighter that B5. It was picked out B5. I am guessing perhaps white primer or something of the like. It does not matter as I am not one of them numbers guys and just want to cruise. I redid the interior from B5 to white and this car pops real good now.

Thanks to all whom have replied. Its nice to hook up with Mopar folk and work for the cause. This R/T is going to need a bunch of stuff. The fuel system is not good. The gas has been in the tank sitting for too long. The car does run under its own power, idles and revs but I question the integrity of the tank so a new tank, pickup/sender, pump, line, and a carb rebuild is going to happen. Ditto for the brake system. I am thinking that he will want to replace just about everything brake related. After that all new filters and fluids etc. and it will be time to get this car on the road and work out all them little bugs. As for now he is taking inventory of all the extra stuff he has for the car. So far one item missing is the radio bezel. I am sure he will post with wants soon. Thanks again all!!
