Here is a set of the original 383 TRW @ .060
They have been sitting on the Shelf 15 or 20 years!!
I believe the metallurgy and quality was much better
when they were real TRW manufactures rather than
later when they became part of Speed Pro Pistons.
The skirt tolerance was nearly perfect back them and
not too good on later Speed Pro Pistons I have found =
I will not ever use the newer ones again.
These are .060 over with about 20 cc dome as I recall/
I think with my heads at 79 cc it calculated out to just over 11 to 1.
Of course, if your heads have not been milled and are stock and deck
is not cut to specs you would be more like 10 to 1 with a Fel Pro .038 gasket.
They are professionally balanced to 1013 Grams which was what
my stock 383 pistons weighed. That way I could us stock balance
and save $350.00 on balancing.
$475.00
$38. shipping with $500.00 Insurance
