Hey all! I come from FCBO. I am the owner of a 1968 New Yorker 2DHT. It’s been a challenge building this car but a good one nonetheless. I purchased this car in January of 2020. I’m currently 21 and still in the process of restoring it.

Joining FBBO because of there’s always a wealth of knowledge thru any Mopar forum!

Currently re-assembling my rebuilt 440. It hasn’t ran since 1979 or 1980.

Very eager to get this car back on the road!

After I finish this New Yorker, I hope to add a 1962 Chrysler 300 to my garage as that is my dream car.

Welcome from Illinois Isaiah!! Looks like you are well on your way to making that dream come true!

Welcome Isaiah! Looks like you have a good car to work with. There might be a member on here that's working on a '62 Chrysler.

Any relation?

Greetings from northern Michigan.

Looks like you're well on your way. Looks good.

Welcome to FBBO from western NY! Always happy to see a younger fella taking the torch of keeping the old classics alive

Thanks everyone! So grateful for the “Direct Connection” we have thru these forums! Where I’m from (Central Coast, CA) Mopars are sort of an odd commodity. Mostly Chebbies and some Ferds around here. I come from a GM family. Although they’re primarily into Chevies, I have to say I’ve got a big soft spot for Buick’s too. ‘63-‘73 Rivis are so rad.

As far as B Bodies go, I’d say my dream B Body is a 68 Coronet!!! I really love the mean look they have.

I won’t go on and lie and say I’m a complete purist. At heart I love hot rods, kustoms (think Bill Hines, Larry Watson, George Barris etc.) and ‘70s styled Lowriders!

My vision for the New Yorker is to stay close to original (no crazy paint) but just a lowered / stanced and cleaned up cruiser.

Something kinda like this:

Only with its original patina, since I can’t afford a nice paint job quite yet

However, when it comes to big $$$ cars like Chrysler 300 letter cars and any nice original car - I’d prefer to leave them stock :) Since my NY was an abandoned car and really bad - I decided to go with my own vision.

I would however love to have a clean non letter 300 as a cruiser to compliment the New Yorker!

I have been following yer progress on FCBO, you're doing great work!

You are in the right place for Mopar knowledge. Glad to see a younger generation interested in the old Mopars.
