For all you NHRA drag racing fans, thought I'd start a post where we can all post the 'Silly Season' changes when they start happening.

Let me start it with what I read over on competitionplus.com this morning:
* John Medlen has resigned from John Force Racing and is joining Jimmy Prock on Jack Beckman's car for 2015. He says Prock will be Crew Chief and he will be the Asst. Crew Chief. Beckman should have a great chance for a big year in 2015 with this brain trust working on his car.

What's going on over @ JFR, causing these guys to make a drastic change,
move over to the main competition & leaving JFR,
when they were @ JFR & loyal for all them years...

Is it just the $$$ ??
Is it job security ??
Is DSR pay more benefits etc. ??
I can't see DSR paying a whole bunch more than JFR does...

I fear, Subversion tactics maybe @DSR, take all the talent away...
I guess unless your @ JFR or @ DSR, to know what's up ??, we'll never really know...
John's big on loyalty, these guys just went to the enemy {in his eyes}, it seems to me anyway...

John Medlen has been a little nomadic anyway, especially in the past few years, back & forth between teams...
I figured he would stay @ JFR now, that Jimmy Prock was gone, he could call his own shots...

Seems or Sounds like:
Don Schumacher Racing is taking no prisoners now, to get another contender,
to stave off John, Courtney, Robert & Britney, winning allot...

DSR just to win, no matter the consequences...

We'll soon hear why, maybe...

What's next Mike "Zippy" Neff ??
Maybe he can get Austin Coil back out of retirement ??

Something more than we are hearing, is up @ JFR & DSR

Also did anyone else see Dale Armstrong passed a couple days ago ??

RIP Dale

Was real sorry to hear about Dale. He was a very smart man.

The NHRA Pro cars are just turning into a bunch of Generic race cars. I have all the respect for the people who race and wrench the cars but I have lost most of my interest in the Pro cars. I like to know what kind of car I am looking at as I grew up during the factory wars in the 60's and early 70's and I voted for the car I wanted to win not the driver. I wanted the Mopar to win and I could tell if it was a 70 Hemi Cuda or a 63 Max Wedge Fury and thats why I love the Nostalgic SuperStock racing and dont even have much interest to watch the Pro racing any more. Its like watching Motorcycles race when they all look the same which is boring to me. Pro Stock is the only class I watch anymore and I am loosing interest in that also. Ron

Yes, I did see the sad news about "Double-A" Dale on NHRA.com the other day. They had a good column on him and Phil Burgess promised a new column with more on Dale in his "Dragster Insider" column on NHRA.com on Friday. Take a look.

Announcement made at the PRI Show in Indianapolis today that Clay Millican, veteran driver turned crew chief David Grubnic, and co-crew chief and general manager Lance Larsen will join forces under the new Stringer Performance team founded by Doug Stringer, CEO and President of Stringer Holdings. They will be ready to start the 2015 NHRA Top Fuel season at the season-opening WinterNationals at Pomona in February.
