Yep :iamwithstupid:
I hope they give it the air time it deserves finally, they say lie 13 live events
& some on reg. Fox channels too, along with Fox Sports 1
the oldDiamond P Sports from the old Nashville Network,
was the last decent coverage & it was only a few races a year maybe 15-ish
but covered the races pretty well sportsman & pro's
not just the pro's some 48 to 64 select cars/bikes like espn2 does...
the other racers deserve some or more coverage too,
not just a 1/2 hr every month or so
& that's mostly all just TA/FC & dragsters
I hope they show Pro-Mod too {even Top-sportsman},
they all really needs more coverage & some respect too...
It deserves what it has. The NHRA is so outta touch with the public, it's laughable. Can't fill fields, and the stands are 10 times larger than needed[nobody cares]. It's a slow, ugly death, that I no longer watch or go to.
When a person can win pro stock and not even be at ALL the races--something is screwed up (or rigged). sorry if I have the opinion. been going to drag races at Bristol since 1965. then we only got the IHRA. I remember a Fathers Day Sunday, and walking over to a pit and setting down under a funny car and watching and talking to a guy change the main bearings. Dang having our freedoms taken away is tough!
I watch it a little on TV, but not much any more.
I would however like to see the pro mod and other divisions.
just my 2 cents
I couldn't care less about tf or fc or any of that priced out of this universe crap. Not that stock/ss isnt expensive, it is in the reach of the little guy. I prefer watching those cars run. I hate to bring up a sore subject, but street outlaws is far more entertaining. All the bs aside, when it boils down the the actual race, im on the edge of my seat. I dont know why nhra doesnt do that for me. The races on SO's are just exciting to watch. Maybe its the camera angles. Maybe its the characters and the bs buildup to the races. Whatever it is, nhra needs to find out and try and make it more appealing.
I walked away some time after I returned from Nam it seemed a lot had changed it wasn't, the guy in the alley or in that little garage anymore :homework::icon_pidu:
