Hi Folks,
my Name is Martin and i life in the near of Würzburg,Bavaria in Germany.Iám 36 years old and starts my hobby with Mopars between 7 years. My first old dodge was a 65 Monaco 2dr Hardtop.A friend of me and myself started to restore it and bring back on the Street. The Car was nice but not my real dream. She was sold in 2007 and so i started watching out for a 69 road runner. In the summer 2008 i was on Mopar Nationals in Germany and there i found my dream. On a trailer,in poor condition with much bondo but a running Drivetrain and a nice Basic for restauration. My new Lady was a 69 road runner with non-power drums,no A/C,no power Steering,4-on thefloor, airgrabber, bench seats and 383 powerplant,Body in R6 on the Tag,and black interior. No matter, thats it.The price for this was too much, but what can i say, after a few minutes she was mine.I was so happy!!!!:toothy4::toothy4:
One week later,i started in my Garage to remove all the parts from it.
A lot of small private Problems breaked me out and the restauration moved very slowly. Now she is sand blasted and primered in the Body workshop from my friend(nick here in FBBO is flammulator)He started the Body works with a new trunk, new Quarter Panels from AMD and new inner fender.
he is a really good Body Worker with a lot of experience with new and old Cars and did a really good Job.But now the works are stopped because we need a good Trunk lid to start Welding the Quarters on the body. For all parts i need in the next time i will start a Thread on parts wanted.I hope you guys here can help me to find something. My big Dream is to ship my road runner and the 70 Coronet from my friend to the US and make a long trip across the Country, visit some Moparmeets and Dragraces.
But i think it will need more than two or three Years to realize it.The costs for restauration and the trip will be very High! But no matter, anyday it will happen, for sure!!:3gears:
Thanks for reading and thanks for FBBO with all its Members!!!
Here some pics
Next time i will bring more of this stuff in a resto Thread.
Thanks for watching and nice greets to all!
Cheers
Martin
