As I recall all the Six Pack had a Special Unique Low Taper Lifter and Camshaft
due to higher spring pressure. I do not know if a standard Johnson or any other std.
lifter would rotate properly on that cam.

I think if you could find the early Johnson lifters that had the better metal
and a much stronger spring they would work fine.
But hard to find and worth $200. if you can find them ( I have one set left ) = Might be cheaper to find another camshaft that was similar Comp XE 284/296 507/510 is very close@.050 and almost same lift (I have one of these New in box $150.) than buy the lifters if you ever find them.
