Yeah,
I had read the story about him getting busted and the possible "Federal Officials" impounding his collection.
He had some money tied up in that collection!

Do you guys remember the Miami Fla drug dealer who got busted and had a "one of two" 1969 ZL1 Corvette?
Feds took that too.

They confiscate:
Boats
Airplanes
Cars
Homes etc.

Its a "good gig if you can get it"

So that's how these cars get overpriced at the auctions. Some crook bids them way over the top because it's basically free money to him.
 
I think I've seen that happen at auction. A 66 Chevelle went from $0 to nuts in 5 minutes. There had to be a reason. BtW it was a confiscated vehicle. My friend was bidding on it and our mouths just dropped.......
