I have been noticing that most of the b bodies that made it onto tv or film are really good on dirt. Or in fields. Or jumping berms. Me and the kid have enjoyed watching these old Mopar car chase movies...like moonshine county express lol.

Best part....the sublime roadrunner wins and the ford becomes a submersible.

Any time a ford loses I'm all for watching. Even better when the Ford Motor becomes what God intended it to be, a boat anchor!

Ford got us the World Mfg'ers Championship.....Unfadeable Mate. I have no prejudice for makes, ,,some models I like, some I don't. Simp-lay. A stock 68 F-100 did the impossible movie footage in Mr Majestyk.....a 1500.00 used pick up from a used car lot did ALL the filming sequences, being jumped off **** taller than houses.....then was sold back to car lot when filming was done, still a driver.

I've done some crazy stuff with cars over the years starting with my sister's 65 Mustang. I'm totally surprised that the chassis didn't get bent being how they are not all that strong. She never knew any of what that car went through in my hands. She'll be 70 pretty soon....maybe it's time she found out :D The 'A' body cars are much stronger imo with my 67 Dart proving that. For many years, all my cars got air one way or another and several of them got it many times and it got to where no one wanted to ride with me anymore lol. The old Dart ended up with a very noticeable twisted body from being in a private demo derby that involved a good sized mound of dirt. It landed with the right rear touching down first and it just slapped the left front down pretty hard. It never quit running though but I'm thinking that was the start of my back issues....

Your right. All makes have their good and bad models. I was raised on Chebby trucks and have always appreciated their dependence and compatible amongst engines. (Dont go thinking I like very many Chebby cars). As for As ford power My dad had a 64 Comet Caliente growing up and that little 289 was a mighty mouse and would do the almost impossible and still take the family on vacation. I will not say the same for the ford 390s that my grandfather was fond of. They are what soured me to ford. But you are correct, I like the L6s and small block block ford's.
Side note: I had the opportunity to buy this Mercury pickup, forget the year. Flat head V-8. Kinda regret not doing so.

Happy New Year! I'd die for a Cosworth 260/289 with bundle of snakes.
